General polyglutamine stocks

Fly stocks in the Bloomington collection that can be used to study the effects of expanded polyglutamine tracts (such as those found in Huntington Disease and Machado-Joseph Disease) are listed here. Included are stocks carrying polyglutamine repeats as well as stocks carrying yeast HSP104, a disaggregase shown to have interactions with a model of MJD (see Cushman-Nick et al., 2013).

20 QsP{UAS-Zzzz\CAG.20Q}330549Expresses a C-terminally HA-tagged 20 amino acid polyglutamine tract flanked N-terminally by 8 non-glutamine aa and C-terminally by 13 non-glutamine aa under UAS control.
41 QsP{UAS-41Q.HA}330540Expresses a C-terminally HA-tagged 41 amino acid polyglutamine tract under UAS control.
48 QsP{UAS-Q48.myc.flag}4251674Expresses 48 glutamines tagged with FLAG and Myc.
63 QsP{UAS-Zzzz\CAG.63Q}230544Expresses a C-terminally HA-tagged 63 amino acid polyglutamine tract under UAS control.
P{UAS-Q108}1668393Expresses an artificial peptide composed of 108 Qs under the control of UAS.
HSP104 (yeast)P{UAS-yHSP104.WT}2.179574Expresses fly codon-optimized yeast disaggregase, HSP104, under the control of UAS.
HSP104 (yeast)P{UAS-yHSP104.DPLDWB}2.179575Expresses an inactive form of yeast disaggregase, HSP104, under the control of UAS. The transgene carries mutations Y257A, E285Q, Y662A, and E687Q and should be both ATPase dead and substrate-binding defective. DPLDWB = Double Pore Loop Double Walker B.
